The article deals with social restrictions that affect the vital environment of the village in the context of its conformity to the criterion of human dimension, the concept of grasping the agreement between the needs of the person and the conditions of their implementation, which the vital environment provides him. A comparison of the concepts of human-conformity and essential human forces is made. Although the concept has a connotation of the ideal, it must be taken into account in determining the boundaries of well-being and self-realization in local communities. The specifics of the social status of the younger generation are shown in connection with the direction and content of modernization of agricultural production, which does not open an attractive prospect for those who are at the start of professional self-determination. The analysis of the prerequisites for changing unfavorable conditions and the use of the creative potential of the villagers due to the wider use of scientific achievements in the practices of economic organizations is given. At present, there is a gap between the accumulated and realizable potential of agrarian science. The role of restrictions, which in rural realities are closed on the territorial and social space, is understood. The natural and climatic factors play an equally important role in this, as evidenced by the indices of the yield of grain crops in one of the regions of the Volga region. It is shown that the human dimension of the vital environment of a modern village is largely determined by technical and technological factors: on farms of farmers (especially small ones), along with a new one, many machines and trailed implements manufactured during the Soviet era are used. It is shown that at the level of calls there are the low level of material and technical equipment of commodity producers, especially small farmers, the high level of education and qualification is not in demand; the absence of a single consistent concept, which organically combines the large, medium and small forms of economic organization.
