The prerequisites for the use of electromechanical deformation as a basis for the development of a method for restoring the cutting ability of disk tillage tools are considered, the disadvantages of the main methods for restoring parts of this group are given. The advantages of using the method based on the electromechanical deformation of metal, which avoids the loss of metal of the cutting edge and does not require significant energy and labor costs, are indicated.
