Enterprise and firm: a way out of delusions in the light of evolutionary economic theory

Бесплатный доступ

The article focuses on a topical problem of identity and difference conception of an enterprise and a firm in methodological coordinates of the evolutionary approach. An enterprise is characterized by an activity content of an economic entity in specific productive and process aspects. A firm is defined as a transaction form of enterprise in the context of labour social division and cooperation, or a system of its external and internal relations through which it functions in the market environment. The author concludes that a strategy should be examined in terms and scale of enterprise and firm as an economic entity form and content. Their interactions determine the strategy system and its character. Enterprise and firm strategies can be opposing, asymmetrical or asynchronous, so the important task of strategic planning, enterprise and firm management is to resolve this contradiction.
