The concept of "kila" in Perm dialect vocabulary and phraseology

In the article on the mythological stories and data of dialect dictionaries of the Perm Krai language units representing the concept of "kila" as a kind of harm made by a sorcerer or a witch to a man, rarely to an animal, are regarded. "Kila" in Perm dialects is herniae, tumor or malignancy caused by a sorcerer. Lexical units with the root "kil" denote the action subject (кил, киловяз, киловязка, килун (kil, kilovyaz, kilovyazka, kiloon), object (киловатый, килун) (kilovaty,kiloon), result (кила, киля) (kila, kilya) and remedies (кильная трава) (kilnaya trava). The Perm data verbalize several channels of magical causing of "kila". They are the direct (contact) and indirect (air, subject and verbal) ones. The units of Perm dialects, given in the article, correlate with the dialect data of other Russian districts. Very vividly are seen the relations between the Perm lexical units and their meanings with the corresponding ones of the dialects of the North of Russia.
