Presentation of the company about suicide and patients with depression

The authors, based on a specially designed questionnaire were studied particularly stigmatizing patients with depression, in particular, their attitude to suicide, respondent groups "Company", "relatives" and "sick". Respondents of the "Company" believed that the patient is depressed, "physically healthy bummer, where you can plow," and the patients - "whiners and pessimists" (95%). In the group of "relatives" more than half of respondents believed the depression myth, "like any mental illness", but 100% of the depressed patients was not considered crazy. None of the respondents of "Sick" is not considered a myth depression or a way of life and did not allow that it can simulate as well as not allow the thought that the depressed patient may be called crazy. At the same time believed that depressed patients commit suicide 96% of respondents of the first group, 45% - in the second and 38% in the third.
