Introduction. The objective is to determine and describe the students’ views on the psychology of consumer behavior. It was assumed that the visions of students majoring in "Psychological and pedagogical education" about the psychology of consumer behavior are characterized by vagueness and uncertainty, due to the fact that this aspect does not belong to the subject of their professional training. The novelty of the study lies in the identification of anti-motives of consumption in the context of A. Maslow’s theory on the basis of students’ views.
