Prevention of criminality and judicial authority: international legal aspects

In the article there is analyzed the institution of the prevention of criminality. The attention is paid to its application in new geopolitical conditions. The role of the UN and EKOSOS in this sphere is shown, in particular. From judicial system the special attention is given to approaches to the prevention of criminality among minors. The Declaration adopted at the last Congress of the UN according in the prevention of criminality and criminal justice, which took place in April, 2015 in Doha (Qatar) are analyzed. Attention is drawn to the role played by the judicial authority in prevention of criminality and there are analyzed a number of relevant ECOSOC resolutions in this area. The conclusion is drawn on need of improvement of domestic justice system with a support on norms and the principles of international law.
