Prevention of cruelty to animals

Introduction: the article is on the prevention of cruelty to animals study. Materials and Methods: the author used foreign and Russian legislation in criminal law protection of public relations to protect animals from cruelty. In the course of the work, general academic, specific academic and systemic methods of cognition were used: comparative legal, systemic and structural, as well as content analysis of Russian and foreign regulations, which made it possible to summarize the collected information and formulate proposals and conclusions on the research topic. Results: the author suggested optimize criminal law of Russia and studied general tendencies, cruelty to animals peculiarities including its criminal prevention. Discussion and Conclusions: the author on the basis of current Russian and foreign legislation, as well as the measures to prevent cruelty to animals, proposes efforts to improve Russian legislation.
