The article reports the results of the search and preliminary studies with archaeological methods of the summer seasonal settlement of the Tara Tatars datingfrom the late 18th -first half of the 19th century. The summer seasonal settlements of the aboriginal population of Western Siberia are practically unknown and not subjected to archaeological research. Hence, understanding the culture and economy of these people remained incomplete. The purpose of the 2024 research was to identify and preliminary study the summer seasonal settlement of the Yurt Chertanlinsky. An analysis of maps and plans of the late 18th century made it possible to establish the fact of the existence of a Tatar settlement with the indicated name and place of its location. As a result of surveys and interviewing local people of the village of Chertaly about the history of the village and the traditional economy, information was gained that their ancestors lived in this area in the past in the winter and summer seasonal settlements. Archaeological reconnaissance of the left-bank floodplain of the Tara River and the help of local people allowed us to establish the exact location of the summer settlement. The established test pits provided a collection of objects of the material culture of the Tatars. It included fragments of various parts of hand-made and wheel-made pottery, an ornamented pottery fragment, a metal product fragment, a borer of animal bone, pieces of burned red clay, bones and teeth of cattle, goats and sheep, and poultry. In the course of archaeological excavations, the precise location of the yurt of Cheranlinsky has been established, and for the first time, archaeological materials from the summer settlement of the Tara Tatars of the late 18th - early 19th centuries were recovered. Further studies will provide new data supporting the previously collected materials from the winter settlement. The derived array of information willfully illustrate the traditional seasonal subsistence strategy of the inhabitants of the south-taiga zone of Western Siberia in the 17th - early 19th centuries. This is a good progress to better comprehension of the life support system and the culture of the population of this region during the specified period.
