Stationary studies at the Ust-Voykar fortified settlement (Shuryshkar District of the the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) has been intermittently conducted since 2003. In 2016, the study of two conservated buildings - dwellings No. 7 and 9 - was continued, and a new area began to be investigated. The remains of logwork structure No. 10 were found in the new area. It has been established that the specific feature of house building was long and continuous development of the areas selected for dwelling construction. Regular rebuilding of dwellings has been detected. It has been established that at a certain stage of development in each particular building, frame-and-pillar structure was replaced by logwork structure. The specific trait of the frame-and-pillar buildings was the presence of the central room. Heavy half-beams with the carved anthropomorphic masks were placed under the bases of front walls in two buildings.
