This article examined the problem of choosing the number of storeys during the construction of individual residential buildings. The advantages and disadvantages of one-story houses are given. The main positions influencing the cost of the project and difficulties that may arise due to climatic and other geographical conditions are identified. An analysis was made of the efficiency of using the territory of the house and its safety. Attention was also drawn to the complexity of the construction of utility networks and their maintenance during the construction of an individual residential building with several floors.
