Advantages and difficulties of implementing a quality management system in an educational organization

The article substantiates the relevance of introducing a quality management system in educational organizations not only as a mechanism for ensuring state requirements for the quality of education, but also as a tool for increasing the competitiveness of educational services. The stages and actions for implementing a quality management system are outlined, and the problems encountered by educational organizations in this process are identified. It emphasizes the importance of meeting the needs of not only students, but also other stakeholders, including employers, teachers, the state and society generally. The identified difficulties made it possible to identify the main factors ensuring the success of the quality management system implementation, which include the interest of top management and the involvement of the organization’s personnel, supporting the intention of the entire team to implement an effective quality system. The authors come to the conclusion that the introduction of a quality management system in educational organizations is becoming a necessary condition for their development in conditions of increasing competition in the market of educational services.
