Advantages of the Role-Playing Method in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning

As society continues to develop, the trend of teaching and learning foreign languages in educational institutions has become a major challenge for teaching staff. In their role as facilitators of the student learning process, it is crucial for lecturers to identify and apply innovative teaching methods. From this context, and with the desire to contribute to enhancing learners’ interest, encouraging students to actively and independently acquire knowledge, develop skills, and shape their character, while also helping to renew traditional foreign language teaching methods, through this article I would like to share some of my personal experiences after experimenting with active teaching methods such as role-playing and dramatization during the foreign language teaching process at the School of Foreign Languages - Thai Nguyen University.
