Teaching Russian in the system of education in Madagascar

The role of language in the formation of national identity and culture is shown. The experience of teaching Russian in Madagascar is analyzed. The difficulties in its development by native speakers of the Malagasy language, especially related to the differences in the phonetics and grammar of the native language with Russian, are considered. The article substantiates the fundamental approaches to the adaptation of pedagogy and methods of teaching the Russian language, taking into account the specifics of the student audience in Madagascar.
