Foreign language teachers and digital technologies in teaching students at a technical university

The article deals with the professional and pedagogical competence of university professors as well as with a role of a foreign language teacher in the development of digital competence of students. The development of digital technologies, the digitalization of the economy leads to some changes in the academic curricula. The requirements for the skills and abilities to be developed and for the content of the discipline "Foreign Language" are changing. It results in the necessity to develop the digital competence of a foreign language teacher.
