The article discusses the development of Russian legislation on liability for suicide and criminal involvement in it. The article gives the legal analysis of the evolution of criminal norms punishing for criminal motivation for suicidal behavior in various historical periods; shows the main changes in the legal system of Russia associated with a phased process of decriminalization of responsibility for suicidal manifestations.
