Crime as a biosocial phenomenon

Бесплатный доступ

The article is devoted to the study of the relationship between biological and biosocial characteristics of a human being and criminal behavior at the macro level. As biosocial characteristics, intelligence, race and population affiliation and hormonal characteristics are used. It analyzes data on the relationship between intelligence, as measured by IQ, and criminal behavior, as measured by crime indicators at different levels, including the global level, the level of countries, states, districts, etc. Information is provided in favor of the relationship between the racial-population composition of the population and criminal behavior. At the same time, the theory of the connection between intelligence and criminal behavior, expressed in the works of J. F. Rushton, R. Lynn and other modern researchers, complements the evolutionary neuroandrogenic theory (ENA) of male aggression. It is noted that heredity is one of the key factors in the occurrence of crime. Without a doubt, this is of great theoretical importance for criminology and paves the way for further research in this area. Taking into account the results obtained, it is possible to create the most effective methods for preventing and preventing crime, as well as combating it.
