Crime in transport: criminological characteristics

The article provides the analysis of qualitative and quantitative indicators of criminological characteristics of crime in transport. It is established that the criminogenic situation in the sphere of transport crime as of 2021 remained difficult. In order to form a holistic view of the complex criminological characteristics of crime in transport and the effective prevention of these crimes, it is proposed to consider two types of criminal encroachments: typical for transport and determined by its specificity and not determined by the specifics of transport. In order to evaluate the extent of crime in transport, it is proposed to adjust the system of statistic data «General information on transport crime» by combining the above-mentioned blocks.
