Juvenile delinquency is an indicator of the social situation in society. The increase in juvenile delinquency may indicate not only the current unfavorable situation, but may be the basis for an increase in the criminalization of society in the future. Juvenile delinquency, being part of the general crime, has its own characteristic features. Due to the peculiarities of their age, teenagers can get involved in criminal activities without understanding the consequences of their actions. According to the data of the Portal of Legal Statistics for 2021, 29126 minors who committed crimes were identified in the Russian Federation. In the ranking of regions, the Chelyabinsk Region ranks second in terms of this indicator (1159), after the Sverdlovsk Region (1316). The relevance of juvenile delinquency research is justified by the need to develop measures that contribute to reducing the number of crimes committed by persons under 18 years of age. In the course of the study, a correlation analysis was carried out and the factors that have the strongest influence on the level of juvenile delinquency in the Chelyabinsk region were identified. The use of measures to prevent juvenile delinquency is aimed at reducing or neutralizing the negative impact of crime factors. Within the framework of preventive measures to combat juvenile delinquency, the application of an integrated approach has a tangible effect: carrying out measures to identify children who find themselves in a socially dangerous situation, organizing public, sports and leisure events jointly with local governments.
