The complex of causes and personality of a female criminal

The article is devoted to the analysis of the complex of causes of female criminality and the peculiarities of personality of a female criminal in the Russian Federation. The results of the research prove that the complex of causes which determines female criminality is highly diverse and depends on the set of socio-economical, psychological, family and interpersonal factors. The personality of a female criminal is becoming similar to the personality of a male criminal: intensity of women's criminal behavior is highly increasing, not only the number of committed crimes by women is rising, but the degree of their social danger. It is noticed that female criminality has essentially become younger, however still the leading role in the structure of female criminality has been taken by crimes for mercenary motives. Most of women who are convinced for committing a crime, have negative life experience, their own world outlook which are oriented on anti-social behavior and addicted to drugs or alcohol.
