Causes and possible consequences of the increase in state duties in the Russian Federation

The article examines the problem associated with the growth of state duties in 2024-2025 in the Russian Federation, special attention is paid to state duties established when applying to the court. The relevance of this issue is determined by the payment of a fee for specific legally significant actions. To date, the state duty as a certain institution has a multidimensional meaning, which is revealed through a variety of diverse areas in which it is applied. In recent years, the state has constantly increased state duties, so in some areas of life, the increase in duties amounted to ten to fifty times, thereby turning into a mechanism for regulating individual public relations, where the subject of law faces a choice related to entering into these relations. At the present stage, raising the level of state duties is a controversial issue not only in science, but also among practitioners. The article analyzes the problem of the growth of state duties and its impact on the system of public and state relations.
