Obstacles to the development of innovative teaching

This article discusses some aspects of the teachers’ innovative activities in conditions of continuous professional development, dictated by the peculiarities of the education system modernization at the present stage. The article presents characteristics of teachers as adult learners, highlights some of the obstacles to the development of innovative teaching : collective psychological climate, mobbing, emotional burnout, level of readiness to show a subject position. This article describes experience of teachers innovative activities development in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Chelyabinsk Institute of Retraining and Improvement of professional skill of Educators. There are also described modular courses that promote the innovative activities and the creation of a favorable psychological climate and the change of the teachers’ internal emotional state.
