The author’s expertise lies in the field of economic history of Russia and Finland. In particular, this is the history of the border trade in XIX-XX centuries. The trade was carried out through the whole length of the Russian-Finnish border. The trade was mostly presented by various clothes, threads and buttons, animal products, corn and flour; besides, the assortment included decorations for women (bands, looking-glasses, beads and so on).
