On January 29, 2024, a round table “Religious Life of Leningrad During the Siege. 1941– 1944. On the 80th Anniversary of Complete Liberation of Leningrad from Fascist Siege” was held at St. Petersburg Theological Academy with participation of the Historical Society of St. Petersburg Theological Academy. Three speeches were submitted for discussion by M. V. Shkarovsky, B. N. Kovalev and A. L. Kudrik, as well as the following topics: readiness and functioning of churches, prayer houses, dioceses and spiritual administrations for life in the besieged city; changes in prayer and liturgical life; and assessment of the contribution of each of the confessions to preserving the life of the city on the Neva during the siege.
