The article considers the “applied bibliology” as a interdisciplinary sphere based upon different areas of humanitarian knowledge and practice, such as publishing business and philology, pedagogics and psychology, history and polygraphy etc. These spheres of activity generate original notions about books and their destinies, publishing business and reading that is founded, from one side, on commonplace notions, on the other hand, on professional concept-terminological knowledge about books and publishing business.
