The article explains the practical importance of the comparative knowledge in the multicultural education and cross-cultural communication. The applied potential of comparativistics is substantiated. It is manifested in the possibility of using the results of comparative studies in the construction of cultural dialogue and in the intercultural communication, in the development of education programs preparing for intercultural interaction.
