Application of Agile methodology in conference organization: experience and prospects

This article examines the relevance and features of applying Agile methodology in organizing scientific and business conferences. The benefits of flexible management are analyzed, highlighting variability, speed, increased transparency, participant involvement, etc. Specific tasks in conference organization where the use of flexible management is most effective are investigated. Based on the author's practical experience, a cyclical model of conference organization using agile methodologies is proposed; a conceptual scheme of the influence of the requirements and expectations of organizers and participants on the activities of the conference organizer is highlighted. The necessity of transitioning to a hybrid approach to conference organization management is emphasized, allowing for combining flexible management features with traditional principles of planning and budgeting. The prospects for further research are linked to developing a system of performance indicators for managing conference organization that will take into account the typical requirements of both organizers and participants of events.
