Federal state educational standards for higher education of the third generation fundamentally change the paradigm of higher professional education, giving priority to the formation of general cultural and professional competences of bachelors. This article discusses the issues connected with the use of active and interactive methods of teaching physics, which can solve this problem through some specific and practical skills, as well as through emerging abilities of students. The author gives a number of examples of how the organization of classroom and extracurricular classes in active and interactive forms can be used successfully in the organization of cognitive activity of students.
