Use of compression anastomosis device in surgery for colorectal cancer

A new compression device КТА has been designed for applying a nickel-titanium compression anastomosis ring to create colorectal anastomosis. The bowel ends were anastomosed transanally by the end-to-end KTA device. The compression device is used at 97 anterior resections, executed concerning of a rectal cancer. There was no morbidity and mortality. All the patients had good results in recovery of bowel function.
