The use of argon plasma coagulation in the treatment of bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract

The article discusses the experience of using argon plasma coagulation (APC) as a method of endoscopic hemostasis in the treatment of bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract. An evaluation of the effectiveness of this method, repeated use and recurrent bleeding after APC, as well as the problems of using this method when bleeding from varicose esophageal veins (varices).
