The paper presents the results of a study of the bulk and surface electronic structure of carbon and graphite-oxide autocathodes, an oxide hot cathode, emission of coherent electrons using a cylindrical electrostatic dispersive electron energy analyzer. A possibility to study the electronic structure of an oxide hot cathode operating in the thermal autoemission mode by the field electron spectroscopy method is shown.
