Application of geoinformation systems in the study of population dynamics

The article used statistical data of the All-Russian Population Census and compiled a table of the population of the Volgograd region by administrative districts for 2002, 2010, 2020. In this study, calculations of the population dynamics indicator of the administrative districts of the Volgograd region, expressed in %, were carried out. The charts of population dynamics of the Volgograd region for 2002-2010 and 2010-2020 are constructed. the method of cartograms, as well as a comparative analysis of the obtained cartograms, and the distribution zones of the population dynamics indicator were identified.
