The article deals with the simultaneous use of several educational paradigms elements in technical foreign language teaching in a higher school. The importance of "Technical Foreign Language" course as contributing to the qualitative training of future specialists is stressed. The authors discuss the mutually supportive value of the elements of cognitive, competence and personality-oriented educational paradigms for the effective organization of practical classes in the course of "Technical Foreign Language" discipline.
