The article presents the results of surgical treatment of 30 patients in acute ischemic stroke. All patients had occlusions or carotid stenosis more than 70%. All patients underwent CEA in the acute period. The observation in the postoperative period shows that neurological status of most patients has not changed, but some patients have regression of neurological symptoms. The author describes a clinical case of regression of neurological symptoms after CEA in a patient with occlusion of the internal carotid artery.
