Approach of complemented treatment for neurological diseases based on medicinal plants with sedative effect

The purpose of the article is to summarize the principles of phytotherapy of neurological diseases with sedative medicinal plants. Sedative medicinal plants are widely used in the treatment of nervous system disorders. Along with their sedative effect, some of the medicinal plants demonstrated their potential in lowering BP, countering peroxidation and improving cerebral circulation. Correct medicinal plant choice can balance functions of the nervous system, reduce stress and achieve the neuroprotective effect.
