Application of the TOPSIS Method for Quality Management of Technological Innovations at Various Stages of the Life Cycle

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the application of the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method for managing the quality of technological innovations at various stages of their life cycle. The TOPSIS method allows for the comparison of alternatives based on multiple criteria, making it an effective tool for supporting decision-making in multi-criteria environments. The article presents the mathematical framework of the method and provides an example of its application for selecting the optimal innovation strategy based on quality indicators. In addition, a real-life example demonstrates the decision-making process for upgrading equipment, taking into account fi ve key criteria: vibration accuracy, drive power, upgrade cost, maintainability, and energy effi ciency. Detailed mathematical calculations of all stages of the calculation are provided.
