The article considers communication as a mechanism of communication and a way of self-expression. In the field of managerial communication, the importance of public speaking is determined and its importance for improving the effectiveness of managerial communication is indicated. The components of the professional competence of the manager are presented. The components of oratory are considered and their characteristics are given. Taking into account the peculiarities and the correct use of public speaking will increase the effectiveness of managerial communication of an economic entity.
