Pneumatic transport in cotton gins

It is known that in roller gins, the fiber is captured by a leather roller and dragged through a stationary skin. Separation requires a blow to the seed, and careful experimentation was necessary to elucidate the nature of fiber entrapment. In the laboratory of the department "Primary processing of cotton" of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, experiments were carried out (on a special stand) to study the design of the components of transport pneumatic installations. Pressure losses in pipelines and pressure losses in air ducts are determined. The characteristics of centrifugal fans are given and the power of the pneumatic installation, the change in air pressure depending on its specific gravity are determined.
