Life imprisonment: legislative regulation and practical implementation

The article examines the specifics of the application of criminal punishment in the form of life imprisonment using historical and legal, comparative legal methods, as well as analysis of changes in criminal and penal legislation. Based on the analysis, trends in the criminal and judicial policy of the state in relation to the institution under consideration are identified. In addition, some problems and proposals related to the execution and serving of life imprisonment are shown.
