In the context of the new "digital" economy, the concept of economic growth has been replaced by the concept of economic development associated with the process of innovation in all spheres of activity. The innovation sector today is the driver of the development of high-tech and high-performance industry and the key to the competitiveness of enterprises. The problems of ensuring the "innovation" of industrial development come to the fore. At the same time, in view of the obvious transformation of all areas of the economy, the usual "classical" methods, tools, criteria, known in general from the economics also lose their practical significance in view of the obvious need to update them with the transformation of the economy. The article discusses the main factors that determine the new appearance of the quality management system in the enterprise, its functions, requirements for it.
