Application of project-based learning in medical and pharmaceutical education

The article presents the experience of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky in introducing the project method into the educational process of the university. The article presents the results of identifying the potential of this method in increasing educational motivation, the quality of training students for professional activities in the field of medicine and pharmacology, forming and developing the competencies necessary for mastering the educational program, expanding opportunities for improving the skills of applying the knowledge acquired during educational activities to solve applied problems based on establishing a direct connection between the educational process and the practical experience of students in cognitive, scientific, creative, research activities. The article considers the types of projects implemented at the university, examples of individual projects, and identifies the most popular areas of project activities among students. The results of the work carried out based on the results of a survey of students (motivation, satisfaction, feedback, academic performance) are analyzed. The research prospects associated with the developing possibilities of project-based learning are shown.
