Use of the dimensional model in the estimation of the personality disorders of war veterans

The author's system of the standard interview for estimation of personality disorders of war veterans was investigated. Clinical and psychopathological & experimental and psychological methods, 450 people (246 combatants among them) were examined with the help of the standard method of the diagnostics of the personality disorders. High indices of the psychometric descriptions of the system (validity, reliability, the distinctive function) were obtained during the process of the approbation of the standard interview. The diagnostic possibilities of the system of the exposure of the personal ity disorders and advantage of the dimensional model instead of the dichotomic (categorical) model were showed on war veterans' group. High predominance in the personal peculiarity of the combatants in comparison with the control group of the paranoiac, borderline and impulsive personality disorders was discovered. These findings play a great role for the medical and psychological rehabilitation of war veterans.
