The effect of Sandostatin on the protease inhibitor system of the organism at myocardial revascularization under conditions of extracorporeal circulation was investigated. The protease inhibitor balance shift with the predominance of proteolysis can be a cause of postoperative complications. The drug was found to have no effect on the dynamics of changes in neutrophil elastase, alpha-1 -antitrypsin, alpha-2-macroglobulin, C-reactive protein and ceruloplasmin.
