Application of sclerosing therapy for neural haemangiomas in children

Congenital haemangiomas are some of the most common benign vascular tumours found in children. Sclerosing therapy is one of the topical therapies that can be fully utilised for their reduction of such haemangiomas as well as for their complete elimination. The aim of the present study is to analyse the efficacy of sclerosing therapy with the drug "Ethoxysclerol" for hemangiomas in children. The study showed that in the treatment of simple and cavernous forms of haemangiomas in children under 1 year of age by sclerotherapy with Ethoxysclerol 3% good results were obtained, while recovery was observed in 98% of patients. This work clearly shows that the use of sclerotherapy method in the treatment of children with haemangiomas and combined approaches to the treatment of haemangiomas of complex anatomical localisation can lead to recovery, and to the achievement of cosmetic and functional results, which allows to significantly reduce the duration of treatment and avoid operative methods of treatment.
