Application of high order spectra in the analysis of nonlinear interaction of high speed gas flow with solid body

This paper discusses the features of the method of high-order spectra (bispectral analysis) on the basis of experimental data obtained in a hypersonic wind tunnel. The model was steel cone installed at working part of the tunnel. The fluctuations in the boundary layer of the model were measured with a high-frequency hot-wire anemometer. High-order spectra allow to determine the degree phase locking of different waves and identify resonant mechanisms of energy redistribution in the spectrum of the measured signal. In the present paper using the method of the second order spectra nonlinear interaction of boundary layer disturbances are investigated.
