Application of standards in management practice of project-oriented and project-oriented companies

This article provides a comparative analysis of the most common project management standards: PMBOK 7, IPMA ICB4, ISO 21502:2020, and ГОСТ Р ISO 21502-2024. It identifies their key features, implementation opportunities, advantages, and limitations. A comprehensive assessment of the standards is provided based on their adaptability to various organizational structures and their practical value for developing agile methodology. The article presents a summary of the application of project management standards by leading Russian companies. The authors conclude that there is no universal standard suitable for all types of organizations and justify the need for a combined approach that integrates the strengths of the standards reviewed into the corporate management system to achieve maximum effectiveness.
