The problem of students' motivation to study at the university is considered. The determining value of the internal motivation of the individual is shown. As a tool to strengthen it, it is proposed to use the gamification of the educational process. The educational mini-module in the format of a quest game is presented, which is used for the development of socio-cultural and intercultural competencies of students
