Application of topographic knowledge of the area by police officers in the performance of operational and official tasks

The article considers the need for operational police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to navigate the terrain in order to effectively perform their duties. Various methods were considered, including: reading topographic maps, using GPS navigation, polling, surveillance, as well as the most modern method - the deployment of UAVs.
