The article presents the principle of organizing the work of the sales department of a commercial organization for the sale of polymer raw materials. A significant role of the commercial director is shown, which should combine the functions of procurement, control over the sales department, marketing analysis. The main tools of the sales department are shown, which, according to the author, are the most important and effective. The undeniable facts of the importance of control over market prices and the market situation are presented. It was concluded on what principles the work of the sales department should be built. It has been proven that the fulfillment of the main requirements will contribute to the fulfillment of the main task of a commercial organization for the sale of polymer raw materials - making a profit and its further prosperity in the market.
