The principle of competitive civil proceedings of Russia: historical aspect and modern interpretation

The article is devoted to the disclosure of the historical aspect of the principle of adversarial civil proceedings - from the analysis of the provisions on adversarial in the civil process of Judicial Reform, carried out in the Russian Empire in 1864 to the existing procedural rules in modern Russian civil procedure law. In addition to the presentation in the publication of the theoretical provisions of well-known Russian proceduralists on this issue, examples of law enforcement (judicial) practice are analyzed.
